Performance Manager (Business Analyst) - App Install

AdColony, the world’s premium mobile video ad network and an innovation leader in HD mobile video advertising, is looking for a motivated Performance Manager to join AdColony’s growing User Acquisition team in San Francisco.  This unique opportunity will focus on campaign optimization, business intelligence & analysis while cultivating relationships with top 100 grossing developers on iOS and Android.

Top candidates will demonstrate a passion for data, optimization, mobile advertising and working with top global app developers on behalf of the company.  The qualified candidate will have a demonstrated interest or experience in data analysis, business intelligence, marketing, analytics, monetization, or performance advertising and will possess a passion for all things quantitative and data driven.

Position will be based in San Francisco (FiDi) and report to the Senior Performance Manager.  Position may require occasional travel on the West Coast to Los Angeles and Seattle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop insightful and actionable Tableau reports for the teams to increase revenue and improve campaign performance
  • Act as the central hub for all analytics and data analysis as related to campaign performance and network health
  • Own small to medium sized projects that require coordination from the global analytics team
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams from Analytics, Product, Engineering and Sales to ensure optimal campaign performance and execution
  • Grow AdColony’s user acquisition business through optimizing and managing campaigns for top global mobile application developers in the social mobile games category
  • Identify, analyze and benchmark campaign and customer success that leads to new sales opportunities or relationship building with key customer accounts
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with the User Acquisition sales team and key app developers with an emphasis on superior customer service and positive customer experience

The ideal candidate would:

  • Be analytically curious with a strategic mindset
  • Be a self-starter
  • Have exceptional quantitative skills and experience (SQL, Tableau, Excel or similar database / analysis tools)
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Have 2-3 years of relevant business intelligence or analytics experience (mobile or social games experience preferred but not essential)
  • Spot gaps in a business process where improvements could be made, and offer solutions to streamline the process
  • Be comfortable balancing a mix of ad hoc (60%) and project related work (40%)
  • Have the ability to collaborate with sales, international and management teams
  • Have superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Be energetic, positive, and have a sense of humor

Bonus points if you have:

  • Over 1-2 years of experience using Tableau
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • Ability to translate between technical and non technical audiences
  • Experience in and a passion for social and mobile games industries
  • Familiarity with user acquisition models for mobile and social games (CPI, CPA, CPC)
  • Strong understanding of existing mobile advertising and monetization ecosystem
  • Passion for mobile technology, iOS and Android apps, gaming, advertising
  • Enjoyment playing mobile apps/games preferred
