Opera Web Browser on the new ZTE e3 Mobile Phone

Opera Software today announced that ZTECorporation, China's leading telecommunications manufacturer and wirelesssolutions provider, has chosen the Opera mobile Web browser for their newGSM mobile phone in China, the e3. The ZTE e3 is an advanced Linux-basedsmartphone geared toward the Chinese business market, and the firstsmartphone with Opera to be manufactured by a Chinese device vendor forthe Chinese market. The Chinese Technology Development Plan (863) liststhe ZTE e3 as one of the most important smartphone projects in China.
With the ZTE e3, Opera is increasing its presence in China. The companyhas previously announced its cooperation with Datang Mobile CommunicationsEquipment Co., Ltd. to provide China with Opera's full Internet browserfor Datang Mobile's TD-SCDMA 3G network. Opera is also included on theMotorola a780 and two Kyocera phones in China.

The ZTE e3 runs on Qtopia Phone Edition delivered by Norwegian Linuxsolutions provider, Trolltech, and is available on the Chinese GSM networkthrough China Mobile.
