Opera's Tucows Browser Launched Today

Opera and Tucows to create second generation portal

Oslo, Norway - Mar. 20, 2001

Opera Software, the manufacturer of Opera, the world's fastest Internet browser and Tucows Inc., a leading distributor of e-business services and applications on the Internet, today unveiled their new co-branded browser on the Tucows Web site The new browser has all of the existing Opera browser's features and functionality. In addition, the browser will be Tucows-branded and have the Hot List and Start Pages link directly to various Tucows software libraries and services. This will enable Tucows to offer their services more directly to its users.

Tucows' domain name registration service, Domain Direct, will also beincorporated into the new browser, offering users the ability to easilyregister and manage domain names. Users can search for and register a domainname anytime by simply clicking on a link in the button bar. They will alsobe able to set up multiple e-mail accounts, forward domain names and managetheir domains.

"The co-branded browser is an exciting opportunity forus and the partnership allows us to provide users with continuous access toTucows."

Other browser manufacturers, Microsoft and AOL/Netscape, are tying theirbrowsers more and more into their other Web ventures. The first version of the new browser is available in English only: Otherlanguages may roll out at a later date.
